Finding Cures. Providing Support. Saving Lives… One Dancer at a Time.
raiseRED is an 18-hour dance marathon, and it's the largest student-run organization held annually at the University of Louisville. While the event itself is scheduled for late February, we are working year-round to raise awareness and funding for the children, families, and doctors fighting pediatric cancer and blood disease at the UofL hospital. Last year, more than 1,000 students raised over $450,000! We are aiming even higher for our fourth annual event with a fundraising goal of $550,000 and over 1,100 participants! 100% of the donations to raiseRED directly benefit the work of Dr. Ken Lucas, Chair of the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at UofL. In years past, raiseRED funding created a position for a much-needed social worker in the clinic, helped support Dr. Lucas’ research initiatives, and directly benefited patient needs.
With your generous donations on October 11, raiseRED has the possibility to help both the clinic and the families in numerous ways.
