The Edgar and Juanita Meyer Scholarship, established by Connie and Jon Meyer, will be awarded to subsidize the cost of higher education at the University of Louisville for a student that has demonstrated a commitment to social justice, diversity, and equity. This need-based scholarship is intended to support students working for or on behalf of women, people of color, and/or the LGBTQ+ community.
The Dr. Mordean Taylor-Archer Scholarship recognizes students who are committed to diversity and equity. Relentless in her advocacy for students and employees of color, Dr. Mordean Taylor-Archer served the University of Louisville as vice provost for diversity and international affairs for 18 years. She worked tirelessly providing leadership on diversity planning and university-wide initiatives on inclusive excellence. This need-based scholarship is intended to support students who demonstrate a commitment to racial equity & social justice through involvement on campus and in the local community.
The Savannah Walker Scholarship is for a current UofL undergraduate student who has demonstrated a commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion. This scholarship was created in honor of UofL student Savannah Walker, who lost her life to gun violence. An advocate for social justice, music & the arts, Savannah impacted many at UofL and in the local community.
