Mission Statement
The Survivor of Torture Recovery Center (STRC) provides person-centered, holistic, strengths-based and trauma-informed services to assist survivors heal and recover, reach their full potential, and enhance their quality of life.
Project Objectives
• Strengthening local infrastructure and services for torture survivors.
• Educating individuals within the refugee and non-refugee community (potential referral sources) in order to identify and increase the pool of torture survivors who could benefit from services offered through the proposed services.
• Conducting training and education of professionals in health, mental health, social, and legal services to increase their knowledge and expertise.
• Providing comprehensive torture survivor centered services and determining their benefits through process and outcome evaluation and disseminating lessons learned from the project to the wider service and research community.
To learn more about the STRC, click here. Funds raise will support activities surrounding Kent School's Torture research project; expenses could be to provide food for trainings, bus fares for research participants and other general operating needs not covered by the project budget.

It's Cardinal Cash Cab!! We cruised around campus playing a few rounds of trivia with students to help #RaiseSomeL for the campus cause of their choice. PLUS, we've got special celebrity guest Dan McDonnell, Head Coach of Louisville Baseball Baseball. Our Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) will be out on campus this evening! Find the Louisville Alumni golf cart and you just might get a chance to answer trivia and earn funds for any area on campus. But hurry, this event only lasts until 6pm today!
