RaiseRED is a yearlong fundraising effort culminating in an 18-hour dance marathon. We are the largest student-run organization at the University of Louisville with over 1000 students raising money every year!. We work to raise awareness and funding for the children, families, and doctors fighting pediatric cancer and blood disease at the UofL hospital. In the last two years 2,000+ students have raised over ONE MILLION DOLLARS! This year we are pushing to raise even more for the kids! 50% of the donations to raiseRED directly benefit the research of Dr. William Tse and Dr. Ashok Raj, both members of the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at UofL. The other 50% goes to the UofL Clinic for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology to provide services and needs for the children and their families going through treatment. In years past, raiseRED funding created a position for a much-needed social worker in the clinic, helped support Dr. Raj and Dr. Tse's research initiatives, and supported hundreds of children fighting terrible diseases.
With your generous donations during Raise Some L, raiseRED has the possibility to help both the children and the clinic in so many ways. We could not do this without your support, thank you all so much!
We’re LIVE with the University of Louisville Cardinal Marching Band to talk to Spencer, head drum major, and Steffany, feature twirler, about how #RaiseSomeL donations impact the Marching Cards. If we’re lucky, we might even get a sneak preview of some things they’ve been working on! Visit RaiseSomeL.org before 11:59 p.m. to lock in your support!
It's Cardinal Cash Cab!! We cruised around campus playing a few rounds of trivia with students to help #RaiseSomeL for the campus cause of their choice. PLUS, we've got special celebrity guest Dan McDonnell, Head Coach of Louisville Baseball Baseball. Our Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) will be out on campus this evening! Find the Louisville Alumni golf cart and you just might get a chance to answer trivia and earn funds for any area on campus. But hurry, this event only lasts until 6pm today!
